Mission
In response to Canada’s changing diversity, and to address emerging issues such as radicalization, Asfc’s mission focus’ particular attention to the following priorities:
a. In the specific context to support the de-radicalization process and prevent radicalization, Asfc is committed to indentify the causes, drivers, and means of radicalization and pro-actively craft strategies and plans to diffuse and/or ideally eliminate these subversive and severely destructive elements within at-risk cultural communities in Canada.
b. Supporting the economic, social, and cultural integration of new Canadians and cultural communities;
c. Facilitating programs such as mentorship, volunteerism, leadership, and civic education among at-risk cultural youth; and
d. Promoting inter-cultural understanding and Canadian values (Democracy, freedom, human rights and rule of law) through community initiatives, with the objective of addressing issues of cultural social exclusion (parallel communities) and radicalization.
